La Luna

With a space-age deco exterior and warm floor-to-ceiling paneling at its heart, La Luna offers the best of many possible worlds in Qingdao’s Hong Kong Garden area. During the week the atmosphere is laid-back sophistication, an understated and intimate environment to wind down after work. The staff is friendly and attentive (and speak English), quick to refill your drink and ever-watchful behind the up lit bar. The all-glass exterior and silent silver door are only a teaser to the plush beauty on the inside ; soft tan suede chairs, hardwood floor, stain glass windows, and soft lighting set a decadent scene. The large space seats 150 people, however comfy booths, translucent drapes and swarthy colours give La Luna a cosy side whether you’re with that special someone or having a night on the town with all your friends. As an added bonus, the French restaurant upstairs is one of the very best in town.
