Postage issues

Has anyone working or staying in China long term had issues with mail/parcels arriving from overseas?

I have been expecting 4 (small) parcels from the UK, Singapore and NZ for the past 5 weeks but nothing has arrived.

3 are birthday presents. 1 is prescription medicine from the UK.

The mailing address is my work one and the receptionist knows I'm expecting something(s). I have no idea why it's taking so long or what could have happened to them or how to resolve this.

lastly, will the parcels be sent back from whence they came?

Any ideas, help would be really appreciated.

cheers, Marc

Yes

The post office steals. You should only send valuable/semi-valuable things through UPS or FEDex and insure them, AND get tracking numbers.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you may not get that package.

Try not to mislead

What's probability of having 4 parcels from 3 individual senders all stolen by a national postal service??? It's likely to be the cause of an unclear mailing address which is worth a double/triple-check. Also you might have to ask those senders to contact their postal services for a status check (I'm sure they have receipts). Hopefully just a delay...
