Basically I need something pretty high quality so I can do some media editing type functions. I would consider a fairly new 2nd hand computer, or if someone knows the best place to buy a new mac in China, that would be very helpful as well.
Any graphic design types out there?

Hmmm...there aren't too many options for buying Macs on the mainland. It's true graphic designers tend to have them, so you might be able to go to GOME or something. As for used ones, you're going to have to hit the jackpot with finding a foreigner in all likelihood who decided to get a new one. But if you want to do advanced editing you probably are better off with a new one yourself.
There is no mac store in mainland china, but there is one in HK if you happen to go down there. It should be cheaper that way.
