China Expat

Young Art Scene

There have been a number of articles in international magazines and newspapers about how great the new art scene is in China, but I've had a hard time finding it and breaking in. Are there neighborhoods in specific cities that are known for it.  I would assume the hot spots would be Beijing and Shanghai.

Is anyone into the Chinese art scene?

Beijing spots

Try this neighborhood:
Dashanzi Art District (大山子艺术区)
It's in Chaoyang and has lots of interesting (and some less interesting) galleries. It's supposedly the hip spot.
