That's pretty crazy. How did they even come up with that translation? Would that word even be in a dictionary? Has anyone seen other signs like that?

There is a sign in the

There is a sign in the parking ramp leading to the basement car park in my apartment in Beijing that says: "Beware Slippy. The Pathway Can Be Crafty".

The sign posted above was real but alas is no more...pretty spectacular though. I'd love to see the dictionary they were using...

It's real.

This is a prime example of what is politely called 'Chinglish': the result of some very lousy translation from Chinese to English.

(and possibly a smart-@$$ Chinese signmaker who wanted to have a laugh at English-only speaking people's expense. that does happen.)
