The Pros:
Christoph Mueller
Christoph was born in 1973 and has lived in China for more than 4 years. Skiing since the age of four, this sport always has always been a favorite way for him to spend his free time. At the age of 22, he became a fully certified Swiss ski instructor.
Christoph has taught in such famous resorts as Saas Fee, Davos and most extensively in St. Moritz, where he worked for the VIP clients of the 5-Star Hotel Suvretta House, one of skiing’s most famous addresses worldwide. With total teaching experience of 13 years, and with clients ranging in age from 3 to 89, at all ski levels, he is exceptionally knowledgeable about the sport.
When not teaching, you can find Christoph off the groomed slopes, deep in the powder following his passion of extreme skiing. He has skied several exposed faces in the Swiss Alpes with slopes up to 60 degrees steep and walked the “Haute Route” at age 15( a ski mountain climbing tour from Sass Fee to Chamonix). In addition he has climbed and skied several peaks and steep faces above the 4000 meter line. His greatest dream (related to China-skiing, anyway) would be the first skier to complete a south-face descent of the “Four Sister Mountains” in Sichuan.

Tom Tillotson
Tom is older than Christoph (and leaves it at that) and has been in the ski industry for 35 years. He is involved with resort operations and owns his own ski and rental shops in New Hampshire in the US northeast. With 40 consecutive years of skiing under his belt, Tom’s ski skills extend from skiing and boarding to cross-country, and his current favorite, telemark skiing.
Although he is still based in the US, for the last three years Tom has spent about half of his time in China, and two years ago started exploring the developing China ski scene. The dearth of credible information on Chinese ski resorts available in any language led Tom to start www.ChinaSkiTours.com last year with the intention of removing the “fear of the unknown” as an obstacle to finding a decent experience in China.
